Sitter-to-Child Ratio
A second sitter is needed if your booking includes more than 4 children, or more than 2 children under the age of two.
Minimum Reservation
We have a 3-hour minimum, or for your sitter to be paid for 3 hours if you need them for less time.
Payment to Sitter
Your agency sitter will collect the hourly payment at the end of your service, and can accept electronic payment and cash.
Holiday Hourly Rate
- 1.5x the standard hourly rates (above): New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving)
- 2x the standard hourly rates: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
Surcharge for Less Than 24 Hours Notice
For requests made with less than 24 hours notice, there is a $29.95 surcharge for expedited service.
Cancellation Payment
- If canceling with more than 48 hours notice, a $25 courtesy payment is due to your sitter
- If canceling with 1 to 48 hours notice, 3 hours or 50% of your booking is due to your sitter, whichever is more
- If canceling within 1 hour of your booking’s start time, full payment is due to your sitter
Credit for Canceling or Rescheduling a Booking
- We understand that things come up – cancelled bookings can be rescheduled within the month at no added charge
Care for Child From Another Family
- For care of a child such as a cousin, playdate, carpool, or neighbor, +$10.00 per hour
- For care of an additional child from that second family, +$5.00 per hour
If a child’s parent is not a registered client of ours, you assume full responsibility for the child.
Transport of Your Child
If your sitter transports your child in their personal vehicle, your sitter will track their mileage and you will reimburse them for mileage at 65.5 cents per mile – the 2023 IRS rate. Your sitter will collect this payment at the end of your booking.
Booking Policies
General Policies
- If arriving back early, you will still pay your sitter for your reservation as originally scheduled
- We cannot guarantee fulfillment of requests made with less than 48 hours notice, however, we have an excellent 85-90% fulfillment rate for these requests
- Booking with the same sitter depends on the sitter’s availability – we understand sitter consistency is best and we help coordinate this, though we cannot guarantee the same sitter for every booking
- To prevent confusion or disputes, co-parents each register for an account and do not share one account
